Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill any one of the following eligibility conditions

  • 10+2 passed with English as a compulsory subject and a minimum of 40% aggregate marks, including English individually, from a recognized board.
  • Candidates from State Open School recognized by the State Government or National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) recognized by the Central Government are also eligible.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with a Science background.
  • 10+2 with English having 40% marks in Vocational ANM course from a school recognized by the Indian Nursing Council.
  • Registered ANM with pass marks.

Aims of the Course

  • To prepare nurses with a sound educational foundation in nursing, enabling them to function as efficient members of the healthcare team.
  • To develop the ability to cooperate and coordinate with members of the health team in disease prevention, health promotion, and rehabilitation of the sick.
  • To provide a strong base for higher education and specialization in nursing.

Objectives of the Course

Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to:
  • Assess nursing needs of individuals from birth to death.
  • Plan and implement appropriate nursing care to meet identified needs.
  • Apply problem-solving techniques in nursing practice.
  • Utilize knowledge from humanities, biological, and behavioral sciences in nursing care.
  • Demonstrate ethical values in personal and professional life.
  • Recognize the importance of continuing education for professional growth.
  • Demonstrate basic teaching skills for patient education.
  • Show interest in lifelong learning for personal and professional advancement.

Fees for the academic year are charged as per Shikshan Shulka Samiti norms, Government of Maharashtra.
